Voices in the Fight: 25th Anniversary Profile Series

 John,

Meet Gabe Glissmeyer.

Gabe was our National Youth Advocate of the Year in 2012. He came out as trans and queer when he was 12 years old, and he is committed to tobacco prevention and cessation work that is inclusive and supports underserved communities. Today, Gabe works for the LGBT Cancer Network, where he oversees the Out Proud Free campaign, which fights to reduce the impact of smoking and e-cigarettes in LGBTQ+ communities.

We're especially honored to share his story with you as we celebrate Pride Month.

Now I fight for health and wellbeing for all people and, ultimately, social justice.”

As part of our year-long 25th anniversary celebration, our Voices in the Fight profile series showcases the incredible power of advocates we've worked with over the years. Look out for a new profile every other Wednesday through May 2022.
