John, here’s the latest update we received from our finance team:
- Right now we’re $2,324 short from reaching our grassroots fundraising goal. (Cori is the top “small-dollar” powered Congressperson! That means we’re relying on supporters like you to reach our goal.)
- And there’s less than 5 hours left before our mid-month deadline.
We set this goal to make sure Team Cori has the resources to organize our movement, build anti-racist progressive power in Congress, and generate momentum for change.
We’re cutting it close — but after doing the math — if one out of four people reading this email right now chips in at least $5, we can pull this off in time. Can you chip in $5 or anything you can before midnight tonight?

Cori’s been hard at work this month. From introducing legislation to end the war on drugs, demanding urgent environmental legislation, and putting forth a plan to address the utilities crisis — Cori isn’t afraid to speak out for the change we deserve.
But there's one thing Cori hasn’t prioritized as she focuses on doing the people’s work: call time.
Call time refers to the hours many members of Congress spend dialing up big donors fundraising for their own reelections. Some representatives spend hours a day on the phone with corporate donors, putting aside the real work to create change in our communities.
Instead, Cori chooses to focus on fighting for this community, but that means we need to have an even stronger grassroots movement than other members who rely on corporate PAC donations or call time.
We know this is the right way to fundraise to make sure Cori can continue pushing for a people-first agenda in Congress — but that also means we can’t afford to fall short on goals like this.
Will you make a donation right now to help us reach our $25,000 mid-month fundraising goal tonight so we have the resources to power our organizing, legislative, and advocacy efforts in Congress?
Let’s do this,
Team Cori
