I just got off the phone with my finance director, Lexie, and unfortunately she didn't have good news: we're dangerously close to missing our $10,000 June mid-month fundraising goal.
We stress a lot about the importance of early investments in races like ours, and that's because hitting our early fundraising goals can have a stronger impact on our race in the long run than last-minute surges in the final weeks. It's so important that we don't fall behind now.
But there is a piece of good news: my team let me know if 130 supporters chip in $10 right now, we'll be able to close our fundraising gap. So, I'm reaching out to my best supporters to see if I can count on you to help us close the gap. Will you chip in?
John, we defied the odds in 2018 when we defeated one of Sam Brownback's biggest fans -- and 2022 we're going to do it again. The truth is, if we lose this crucial race, we'll have a one-way ticket back to the Brownback era.

Everything from voter outreach, running our email program, hosting campaign events, and building a volunteer program costs money. That's why our team sets mid-month fundraising goals, so we can stay on top of fundraising and invest in this race early.
