Following the deadly insurrection at the U.S. Capitol in January, Mark
Zuckerberg admitted that Donald Trump used Facebook “to incite violent
insurrection against a democratically elected government.” Facebook then
banned Trump but is now preparing to welcome him back to the platform.

Earlier this month Facebook announced Trump would be banned for only two
years, after which time he would be eligible to return to the platform –
just in time to stoke more fear and hatred before the next presidential
election.

Former President Trump has proven again and again that he is willing to
incite fear, hatred, and violence if it’s going to energize his base of
supporters and help him win in an election or influence others in the
Republican Party – we cannot allow it to continue!

and ban Trump permanently! >>

In dodging responsibility for not taking a more aggressive approach,
Facebook punted to federal regulators, calling on them to develop
regulations rather than monitor and respond to content on its own
platform.

And in the months since the January 6 insurrection, Donald Trump showed no
signs of slowing down – he continued to perpetuate the Big Lie, spew
extreme rhetoric, AND dangerous conspiracy theories! How can anyone say he
won’t just pick up where he left off if he’s allowed back on Facebook?

permanently from their platform! >>

Facebook is putting American lives and democracy at risk. We refuse to
accept that as the cost of business. We urge Facebook to reverse their
decision and permanently ban Donald Trump from the platform.
