Back-to-School Essentials
Bulletproof backpacks? Active shooter drills? School shootings are not inevitable. They are preventable. Sandy Hook Promise’s newest PSA illustrates what is seemingly the “new normal” – using back-to-school essentials to survive a school shooting. The goal of this national campaign is to reinforce how important it is to Know the Signs to prevent violence in schools.

Let’s Start With Hello
Sandy Hook Promise’s new digital Start With Hello Elementary program is designed to teach empathy and compassion to young kids through an interactive storybook, games and more. But the three-step lesson is universal: See someone alone. Reach out and help. Start With Hello.
Start With Hello Week (Sept. 23-27) was this year’s national call to action for schools. Carry on this spirit of kindness by trying out the three steps in your workplace or community! Share your story with us on Facebook and Instagram.
