Volume 13, Issue 21:

This newsletter is dedicated to the two Jews who lost their lives yesterday while bent in prayer, during the holiest day of the Jewish year, Yom Kippur, in Halle, Germany. This follows the outrageous attacks in America of Jews praying at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh in October of 2018 where 11 people lost their lives, and at the Chabad of Poway Synagogue in April of this year in which Lori Gilbert Kaye was killed while trying to protect the Rabbi.

This newsletter is also dedicated in solidarity with our Kurdish allies and friends who valiantly fought for us against ISIS, and had lost 11,000 people in this fight, while the US only lost 15 servicemen. We are profoundly saddened and dismayed by the President’s decision to turn our backs on our Kurdish friends, and feel that this is not what America is all about. We also believe that, aside from the humanitarian crisis that this is ushering in, it will open the doors to the ISIS prisons, emboldening ISIS and making the threat of terrorism that much greater throughout the world, as it will only serve to embolden Erdogan’s brutal regime in Turkey, as well as the forces of Iran and Bashar Assad.

The dark side of 'America First' should worry Israel

Trump’s betrayal of the Kurds to the Turks doesn’t mean that he will also abandon the region to Iran. But Netanyahu and the Arab states have to be alarmed by the situation.

In retrospect, no one should be shocked by the news that the United States has given the green light to Turkey for a military incursion aimed at sweeping Kurdish forces out of northern Syria. Trump has been very clear about wanting to cut and run from the conflict in Syria once the ISIS terrorists that he had vowed to defeat were beaten. Moreover, he campaigned for the presidency by promising to end U.S. involvement in the wars of the Middle East. Nor, as a general rule, has he demonstrated much sympathy with the plight of small nations and peoples who are threatened by their larger neighbors.
