Friend, we're facing coordinated efforts to restrict access to the ballot box and subvert democracy.

Republican state legislators across the country have passed extreme measures to cut back on early and mail-in voting and give themselves greater power to overturn elections in their states. Right-wing groups have started an "audit" of Arizona's 2020 election results for the sole purpose of spreading misinformation and seeding doubts about election integrity -- and we could soon see this happen in more states.

Right now, the House Democratic majority in Congress is one of our last lines of defense against the GOP's attacks on voting rights and the attempts to overturn the will of the people. Jennifer has joined her colleagues to pass the For the People Act, and she looks forward to supporting the John Lewis Voting Rights Act in the months ahead.

But the fact of the matter is that we have a razor-thin majority of just five seats. That's one of the reasons why Republicans are trying to rig elections in their favor at the state level -- they're betting that they flip the House by limiting voter turnout.

So we need to get an early start on defending every seat for 2022, including VA-10. We're coming up on our first public end-of-quarter deadline since Jennifer got a GOP opponent, and we need to meet our mid-month goal in order to be on pace for a strong finish.
