six more innocent lives were cut short
BREAKING NEWS –
via ABC: At least 2 dead, 2 injured in shooting at Alabama plant
via Chicago Tribune: At least 4 dead, 4 wounded in Englewood shooting
John,
Six more people are dead in headline-breaking shootings across the country and countless families are changed forever. Mass shootings and everyday gun violence continue to happen – and our lawmakers have done next to nothing to save lives.
This doesn’t have to be every morning in America. We shouldn’t have to brace ourselves daily for the next headline. But it won’t change without all of us making the choice to turn our outrage into urgent action:
Right now, the Senate can take immediate and lifesaving action to expand and strengthen Brady Background Checks. The House passed this legislation months ago, and we have to show our Senators that we are done waiting – for the next headline, the next tragedy. Please, [[link removed]] John , will you add your name and urge the Senate to pass expanded Brady Background Checks NOW? We need 98 more names to have a statistically significant response from your area. [[link removed]]

I know all too well what it means to survive a tragedy like this – my mother was shot and killed when she opened the door to our home. And every time I see a headline like these, it hurts. But what hurts more is inaction by our lawmakers, who were elected to keep us safe. Our country is in desperate need of these lifesaving gun laws, but we can only make it happen with all of our supporters behind us. And your voice could make the difference, friend.
Will you add your name right now and urge the Senate to expand and strengthen Brady Background Checks? [[link removed]]

I am grateful for your action to save other families from tragedy. Truly.
