I hope you had a chance to see the story that ran in Sunday’s Milwaukee Journal Sentinel about our efforts – along with the Wisconsin Voting Rights Coalition – to fight back against bills just passed by the State Senate that would restrict our freedom to vote.
Our team and coalition partners brought over 60 businesses and leaders – like the Milwaukee Bucks and the Weyco Group – into the fight against attacks by legislative leadership on Wisconsin voters’ ability to make their voices heard at the polls.

The bills passed by the Senate would limit the number of absentee ballot dropboxes municipalities can use, including limiting the City of Milwaukee to just 4 absentee ballot dropboxes – as opposed to the 15 they had in the last election. The bills also make it more difficult for individuals to vote by mail, adding more barriers for voters at election time.
These bills would disproportionately affect voters with disabilities and limited transportation options, and especially Black and Brown communities across the state.
That’s simply unacceptable.
Every Wisconsin voter should have an equal opportunity to participate in our democracy and make their voice heard, regardless of their race, background, or zip code.
