Today, I’m officially launching my campaign for Arkansas Governor. I’m about to ask you to become one of our 50,000 Founding Donors I need to jumpstart my campaign, but first I want to explain why I’m running.

From Morehouse College to NASA to MIT, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with the best and brightest minds -- and my career is thanks to my parents, mentors, and teachers who invested in me along the way.

I’m running for the Arkansas families I’ve worked with across the state who are just as talented and full of potential as anyone.

Arkansas needs a leader fighting to invest in our state -- from improving public education, strengthening infrastructure from roads to broadband access, protecting and securing the right to vote, investing in small businesses and entrepreneurs, and bridging the rural and urban divide.

I’m asking every good Democrat to help me build a grassroots movement. If you’re with me, will you chip in to become a Founding Donor of my campaign?

I grew up in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and am the son of two preachers. They raised me to believe that everybody should be valued -- no matter who people are or where they come from.

In Arkansas, the stakes are too high for us to elect someone who only looks out for the wealthy few.

Our children are going hungry. Our rural hospitals are on the brink of closing. We’re falling behind in reading and digital literacy with small communities across the state struggling to keep up.
