Miller is what experts call an accelerationist — they are a growing group of extremists who want to see the collapse of our society. A convicted felon, he posted photos of himself with firearms and made videos in which he harassed women and minorities to entertain his social media followers.
“Miller was an emerging threat that raised all the red flags of an escalating and potentially violent accelerationist. I became increasingly concerned by his radical and violent rhetoric, his display of various weapons and real-life extremist-related activities,” Carla says. “Online he served as an extreme entertainer, and I was concerned about how far he might go to please his 45,000 followers.”
Carla and the Center on Extremism tracked Miller from New Jersey to Florida and notified law enforcement of his location and the threat he posed. Police found a firearm hidden in his dryer. He was charged with three weapons violations and faces up to 30 years in prison.
