| Dear John: We're #PFLAGProud to share a special tune-in notice: In honor of Pride Month, Lifetime is airing an encore presentation of “Prayers for Bobby,” the Emmy-nominated film starring Sigourney Weaver. Based on the landmark book by Leroy F. Aarons, it tells the story of Mary Griffith, a profoundly religious wife and mother who began to question her faith after the death by suicide of of her gay son, Bobby. Ultimately, with the posthumous acceptance of her son's sexual orientation, Mary drew on the strength and comfort from the LGBTQ+ community--particularly PFLAG--and became a staunch advocate for before passing away in 2020. The film will air on Lifetime on Sunday, June 20 at 10 a.m. EDT, and is available on Lifetime VOD throughout the month of June. |

| | Advocacy Colors of Pride week of action concludes with Juneteenth commemoration Join The Colors of Pride Coalition for a Juneteenth celebration that educates about the emancipation of the enslaved Americans in 1865 and the continued liberation of Black and Brown people in the United States. This event will include traditional foods, song, and spoken word, and how this work connects to the critical need to pass the Equality Act. The event premieres on YouTube this Saturday, June 19th at Noon ET/ 9am PT, and will be available to view at the same link after the broadcast premiere. |
