In 2020, Democrats shed their blood, sweat, and tears in Georgia. And we were rewarded when we beat the odds and flipped BOTH Senate seats -- right after Georgia went blue in the presidential race for the first time in decades.
One of those wins was Raphael Warnock's upset of Kelly Loeffler. However, we can't forget that Sen. Warnock won by just TWO points in January, and now he is already up for reelection in 2022.
He is the GOP's number one target, so we need Democrats to be all in to keep Georgia blue. This time, Republicans aren't taking this Senate seat for granted, and they're launching one of the most blatant voter suppression efforts in the country to steal it back.
Listen, we aren't going to sugarcoat this: The first step to protecting our democracy is defending Raphael Warnock's seat to secure our Senate majority. If we fail, Republicans will take back the Senate and use that power to snuff out the last chance we have to ensure democracy survives in our country.
Sen. Warnock has been one of the biggest allies in the struggle to pass President Biden's sweeping progressive agenda. His vote is going to be crucial for passing legislation that will provide dignity to workers and families, as well as reforms that protect free and fair elections in America.
There's a lot on the line in this race and this cycle, but our fundraising has plummeted in recent weeks, and we're $2,978 short of our goal to protect the Senate and vulnerable Democrats like Raphael Warnock.
