Darnella Frazier, Teen Who Filmed George Floyd’s Murder, Wins Honorary Pulitzer

BY ERRIN HAINES | Darnella Frazier, the teenage girl who whipped out her cell phone and recorded the police murder of George Floyd last summer, a video that rocked the nation, has received an honorary Pulitzer Prize for her courage. Frazier, now 18, was honored with a special citation for her video, which “spurred protests against police brutality around the world.”

 
 
 
Want to End Gun Violence? We Need Women at the Table

Even with this rise of violence against women and louder calls for gun control measures, the conversation in the U.S. has neglected to mention the need to address misogyny and gender–based violence.
