Hi John —

One of the best parts about campaigning is getting to talk with folks from across the Commonwealth and hear their personal stories, concerns, and hopes for a better future.

But all too often, what politicians hear in one ear goes right out the other, resulting in a government that doesn’t listen to us, look like us, share our experiences, or fight for our needs. Well, John, that’s not me.

I understand what so many Virginians have been through because I’ve been through it too. As a single mother, a Medicaid recipient, and an adult student, I know what it’s like to worry about keeping a roof over your family’s head and food on the table.

John, I know my story isn’t unique, and I know every single one of you has a story worth hearing and a future worth fighting for. Now that we have won the Democratic nomination for Lt. Governor, I want to hear from you so I can best fight for you in the weeks and months ahead.
