Friend, we have huge news. Take a look:
"Maryland gubernatorial candidate John B. King Jr. has raised $1 million"
-Washington Post
We are so proud to announce that our campaign has officially raised $1,000,000! The support for John has been overwhelming. From Cumberland to Ocean City, Marylanders are making one thing clear: they are ready for a teacher as Governor!
I want to thank you all personally. As John’s campaign manager, I could not be more optimistic about how this campaign is going. The grassroots energy behind John’s candidacy is phenomenal as this first million raised included contributions from all 23 counties in Maryland and Baltimore City.
However, we can’t stop now. We’re just in the beginning stages of this campaign, and we have a long road ahead. Will you help us keep up the momentum by contributing now?

As everyone knows, there is nothing more effective than a fully funded educator! Thanks to this early support we will be able to quickly grow our team and expand the campaign's reach across the state, ensuring every Marylander hears John’s message of opportunity.
Yes, we’ve raised our first million, and that is certainly something to celebrate. But here at Team King, we’re keeping our eyes on the prize. We want to win this race so we can send John King to Annapolis to serve as the progressive voice we need as governor.
Will you please help us continue to show John your enthusiastic support by pitching in today?

We are so grateful for your support. Our campaign could not have raised a million dollars without such an outstanding people-powered movement behind John.
With appreciation,
