Confirming David Chipman as the head of the ATF would help save lives.

President Biden has nominated David Chipman to be the Director of the Bureau of the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). And John, the U.S. Senate could vote to confirm Chipman for this extremely important role as soon as next week.

To end our nation's gun violence crisis, we need someone like David Chipman leading the ATF.

Tell your U.S. senators: Vote to confirm David Chipman as ATF director.

Chipman is a gun owner, father, and decorated law enforcement official who served as a special agent for the ATF for 25 years. As an agent, he spent his career in service of ATF's mission of enforcing firearms and explosive laws that protect communities, investigating acts of terrorism, and combatting illegal gun trafficking.

The ATF has a critical role to play in enforcing firearms laws that protect communities from gun violence, but the agency has not had a confirmed director since 2015. David Chipman is the right person to lead the ATF, and confirming him to fill this role would help save lives across the country.

Tell your U.S. senators today: Confirm David Chipman as Director of the ATF.
