More trouble looms in the liberal “paradise” of California. As Californians struggle to recover from the financial damage caused by failed COVID lockdowns, the Left is not letting up. Following three back-to-back increases on the gas tax, the state is set to increase it again. Starting July 1st, Californians will be paying almost 51.1 cents more in taxes on gas than they did in 2017.

Hi John,

More trouble looms in the liberal “paradise” of California. As Californians struggle to recover from the financial damage caused by failed COVID lockdowns, the Left is not letting up. Following three back-to-back increases on the gas tax, the state is set to increase it again. Starting July 1st, Californians will be paying almost 51.1 cents more in taxes on gas than they did in 2017.

For the privileged few in California who can afford to pay such an increase, they will not feel the heavy financial burden. However, for the majority of Californians, this is an ambush on their economic well-being.

Liberals continue to fail to understand that you cannot tax yourself into prosperity. Conservatives know there cannot be liberty without economic freedom. Put even better by Margaret Thatcher, “the problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.” While conservatives continue to fight big government and heavy tax burdens, we can only hope leftist Californians will learn soon.

Sincerely,

Casey
