John,
It's been nearly two weeks since I announced my candidacy for New York's 1st Congressional District, and I really want to know what's most important to you.
Let me explain: I'm running for Congress to be an advocate for all Long Islanders -- for parents, educators, small business owners, first responders, essential workers, and most importantly, our kids.
To do this job and to do it well, I need to hear from folks like you. For too long, we haven’t had representation that reflects our priorities. If we're going to build back better and invest in a future we can all flourish in, I need to know what's important for you and your family.
Can you take just two minutes out of your busy day to take our 2021 issues survey? The first question is easy: Which issue(s) are most important to you?
I know after serving nearly a decade in the County Legislature, that in order to actually make a difference in the lives of New Yorkers, we need to know what folks are facing day-to-day.
If you're having trouble paying for lifesaving medication or services, I want to know how I can help. If you're having trouble affording housing payments, I want to know how government can make a difference for you. And if you're worried about your children's future, you should know that I'm right there with you, and I'm eager to hear your thoughts.
That starts today, just as soon as you take our brief 2021 issues survey. Can you let me know what's most important to you, John?
Thanks for taking the time to hear from me,
Kara Hahn
