John,
The American Rescue Plan, signed by President Biden in March, made substantial investments in children, youth and families ― cutting child poverty in half.
But right now, these investments are supposed to expire after a year — creating an uncertain future for the tens of millions who have already seen the benefits of these programs.
As Congress negotiates how to invest in our future and what to include from President Biden’s proposed $4 trillion investment and tax plan, we need to ensure the needs of children, youth and families are a top priority. Will you write to your members of Congress today to tell them to invest in children, youth and families?

Nearly 1 in 7 U.S. children live in poverty, and the COVID-19 pandemic has only made these problems worse, as many of their parents have lost their jobs and health care as well.
That’s why we’re fighting for Congress to make the changes that benefit children, youth and families — from making the Child Tax Credit permanent, to fighting for expanded access to affordable housing, health care, and education for all Americans.
We need Congress to hear us loud and clear: it’s time to make cuts to child poverty permanent. Click here or the button below to write your members of Congress today.
