Now may be the best time to adopt a homeless pet in over 15 months. With the pandemic winding down, more rescued animals are available and fewer adopters are stepping forward to help. Unfortunately, that's hard on animals, but good news for people wanting to open their hearts and their homes to a furry bundle of love.
PAWS Chicago's Summer Lovin' adoption event is Tuesday through Sunday, June 15-20 and in an effort to find homes for more than 100 animals, we've waived adoption fees on dogs and cats one year and older. (Refundable training deposit applies to dogs.)
Homeless pets are waiting for loving families. Please consider giving these innocent animals a second chance at life.
If you’re interested in adopting, there are three steps you should complete.
1. Take the ComPETibility Quiz
2. Complete an Adoption Application
3. Fill out a Virtual Adoption Registration Form specifically mentioning the name of your desired pet
We must have ALL THREE documents to start the process and be able to successfully match you with a pet.
While we wish we could respond to each adopter individually to alert you to the status of your application we are unable to do so while still maintaining the quality of care we put into matching our pets with the best homes. If you do not get a match on your first attempt, please fill out another Virtual Adoption Registration form to alert us of your interest in another animal.
