Earlier this year, Scott and his Democratic colleagues in the House passed the Equality Act — legislation to prevent discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

Guaranteeing full protection under the law for LGBTQ+ Americans must be a priority, because no one should face discrimination or bigotry because of who they are or who they love.

But the Senate is stalling action on this issue, and as we celebrate Pride Month during June, we must send a loud and clear message that we need this legislation to become law immediately.
