We've joined with a dozen progressive partners including Demand Progress and Daily Kos Action to turn up the pressure on President Biden to save the United States Post Office from Trump appointed Postmaster General Louis DeJoy and Board of Governors Chairman Ron Bloom.
Our goal is 100,000 signers before we deliver next week and we're half way there. At the time I'm writing this message to you, we're at 45,313 signers to be exact.

I included my email from last week below, since there's a lot more info if you need it before you sign. But here's the bottom-line:
- To save the USPS, Postmaster General DeJoy must be fired
- Only the Board of Governors can fire Dejoy
- So far Chairman Bloom has failed to act
- President Biden can fire and replace Chairman Bloom with a leader committed to firing DeJoy to save the USPS before it's too late.

For months now, you and I have been working hard to save the United States Post Office from Trump-appointed Postmaster General, and Republican mega donor, Louis DeJoy. The bottom line is Louis DeJoy must be fired.
Here’s the thing: the Postal Board of Governors is the boss of the Postmaster General. They hire and fire the postmaster, review all practices of the post office, and oversee policies for the postal service.
That’s good too because after filling three vacant seats on the Board already, President Biden only needs to take one more step to make sure Democrats who want to improve the post office control the Board.
President Biden must fire Ron Bloom from the Board of Governors and replace him with a leader willing to fire Louis DeJoy.

Donald Trump appointed Ron Bloom to the Board of Governors because he knew Ron would do whatever he could to help Republicans destroy the Postal Service.
Let’s be clear: that IS the Republican goal.
Republicans have been working for decades to kill the USPS, so for-profit businesses like Fed Ex, UPS, and others can take over delivery nationwide. It’s not a coincidence that Postmaster General Louis DeJoy owns at least a $30 million stake in a USPS contractor and as much as $100,000 in Amazon stock options. That’s likely why he was appointed by the Republican controlled Board in the first place.
Ron Bloom also worked for the investment banking firm Lazard on two occasions, the second as Vice Chairman, U.S Investment Banking. Now, Bloom is still the vice chair and a managing partner of Brookfield Asset Management.
These conflicts of interest aren’t a mistake and undoubtedly are why the Board of Governor, led by Ron Bloom, hasn’t moved to fire Louis DeJoy yet. That’s why we can’t let up on the pressure.
