Friend,

In just a moment, I'm going to ask for your feedback on some of the most crucial issues facing our country – but before I do, I want to talk to you about how your input and activism is crucial to moving the needle on crucial issues.

Just the other week, I stood alongside my Senate colleagues, Vice President Harris, and President Biden as the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act and the Jabara-Heyer NO HATE Act were signed into law. This is a critical action to combating hate in our country, and it's a big step in curbing bigoted, racist, xenophobic violence.

This is something I've been fighting for since 2017. Thousands of you fought alongside me – signing petitions, taking action, making your voice heard. We accomplished this major legislative feat together, thank you.

While this is a milestone worth celebrating, we can't slow down for a minute. Even with this historic legislation, hate-based behavior remains a very real threat to many Americans' daily lives. Senate Democrats and the Biden administration continue to make other progress on building back better after the disastrous Trump administration, but there's much to be done: Gun safety reform, tackling climate change, ensuring nobody lacks affordable access to healthcare.

By speaking out about the issues that matter most, we've proven we can make change happen. So today, I'm asking you to take my newest priorities survey to let me know what's on your mind – and I'm looking for 500 more responses before my team's next strategy session. Will you take just 60 seconds to submit your feedback now?

Grateful for all you do. We're making progress.

Dick
