"I believe that [protecting the interests of lobbyists and dark money groups is more important than defending the right to vote,] partisan voting legislation will destroy the already weakening binds of our democracy, and for that reason, I will vote against the For the People Act." -- Senator Joe Manchin (WV)

We fixed it, friend.
Senator Joe Manchin isn't representing the interests of the American people. If that were the case, he wouldn't hesitate to defend our right to vote.
Extremist lawmakers are trying to block our right to vote in 48 out of 50 states. This isn't by accident. These laws are a calculated attack on Black voters, so we're fighting back.
Tomorrow at midnight, we're facing our mid-month deadline. We set a goal of raising $10,000 for our emergency 2022 Get Out The Vote Fund, and we're currently $6,810 away from our goal. Will you chip in?
Our right to vote is sacred. We will continue to fundraise and organize to make sure no laws or lawmakers can stand in our way.
Senator Joe Manchin bent to the demands of special interest groups. He either doesn't understand what's at stake or simply doesn't care. So we're done waiting for politicians to catch up.
We launched our 2022 Get Out The Vote Fund to get Black voters to the polls. Period. Donate now to help us strengthen Black voter engagement in communities across the country -- including West Virginia.
Thank you,
The Collective Team
