If so, or if you have other questions about COVID-19 and the vaccine, join one of the upcoming virtual town hall meetings hosted in partnership with the Greater Washington Board of Trade and the Chambers of Commerce from across the region. In these meetings, a panel of experts will explain employers’ options and responsibilities. In addition to your pre-submitted questions, some topics to include: Legal considerations of returning to in-person workspaces Rates of vaccination and vaccine hesitancy in the DMV Challenges associated with health disparities and population immunity What CDC guidance means for local regulations and workplaces This presentation will be followed by a Q&A. VIEW AVAILABLE JOBS Chamber Encourages County to Allow More Ground Story Uses on Columbia Pike The Chamber encouraged Arlington County to allow for the broadest possible range of ground story uses in the Columbia Pike Form Based Code. Arlington County is studying how to update the code to add permission for uses that were not envisioned when the Form Based Code was adopted, but such an update still won’t cover desired future uses not envisioned today. The goal of the Form Based Code is to provide a thriving main-street feeling; permitting all uses by default, unless specifically identified as adverse, will help deliver that goal for South Arlington’s central main street.
