Friend,

As the child of immigrants, these last few days have been incredibly difficult.

Growing up, I remember the sting of hearing people tell my immigrant parents to go back to Mexico. To hear similar comments come from the person that’s supposed to lead our country is vile and counter to the values that truly make our country great.

I am so grateful for the leadership the House Democrats have taken passing a resolution to hold Trump accountable for racist remarks telling four of my colleagues to “go back” to their home countries, but it’s not enough.

That resolution should have gotten across-the-board, bipartisan support. This goes across party politics.

I’m calling on my colleagues in the House who didn’t vote in favor of the resolution to step out of the shadows and condemn the President for his remarks. Add your name to demand House Republicans stand up against bigotry and let them know we’ll hold them accountable if they continue to be silent >>
