Click here MISSION COMPLETE - A MILLION MILES OF CLEANER BRITAINDear John Today marks the end of our sixth annual #GBSpringClean campaign, and we want to say a Great Big Thank You to all the #LitterHeroes who have worked to make 1.16 million miles of outdoor spaces cleaner and greener. Despite the challenges we have faced our community of #LitterHeroes has shown the world, once again, environmental action at its best. We’ve seen a huge interest in participants new to litter picking, demonstrating how our collective goal to eradicate litter is sweeping the nation. Thank You Day Building on the momentum of #GBSpringClean, on Sunday 4th July 2021, Keep Britain Tidy will be joining hundreds of organisations across the UK to support Thank You Day. According to The Mental Health Foundation, 45% of us say that being in green spaces has been vital for our mental health during the Covid-19 pandemic'. But the additional use of outdoor spaces - and demand on local services - has taken its toll, with many sites seeing increases in litter. At 11 am on Sunday 4th July, Keep Britain Tidy needs you to join our Power Hour clean-up, and help us say ‘thank you’ to the places that have mattered to us during lockdown, and to the people who look after them year-round. Help Us Help The Environment As an independent charity, Keep Britain Tidy relies on donations from businesses and individuals to fund research into changing littering behaviour, effective policy and infrastructure, educating future generations and campaigning for change. Just £30 of could be used to provide a school with educational resources as part of our Eco-Schools programme, or fund equipment and training for our year-round environmental improvement programmes. |
