John,

Since leaving the White House, Donald Trump has made one thing clear: He's not ready to give up power just yet.

Just last week, during an interview with a far-right radio show, the host brought up a possible Trump run for Congress -- something the former President called “very interesting” and ran with.

But what exactly does that mean? If Trump runs for Congress and is appointed Speaker, he made it clear he would use his power to start impeachment proceedings against President Biden and Vice President Harris. And who would that leave next in line for the presidency?

Donald Trump.

We worked too hard to beat Trump in 2020 to allow him and his Republican cronies to claw their way back into power. And if he's willing to do anything, our best line of defense is a strong Democratic Congress.

If we're going to build up that line of defense to prevent Trump and his allies from seizing power, we can't fall behind on our goals. But right now, we're $678 away from our daily fundraising goal -- and we need strong supporters like you to help us meet it.

Thank you for your continued support. Together, we can make sure 2020 was the the end of Trump's time in the Oval Office.
