Another busy week is complete! To keep you updated, I want to provide a brief overview of the important things taking place in District 59.

But first, a reminder that COVID-19 vaccines are available to all Floridians aged 12 and over . To find a vaccination site near you, please visit floridahealthcovid19.gov.

Also, Hillsborough County Public Schools, in partnership with the Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County, will host seven COVID-19 vaccination clinics for children ages 12 years and older. There are no appointments required or out-of-pocket expenses. The clinics will be held in the school’s gymnasium or auditorium. A parent or legal guardian must be present when the vaccination occurs.

First Dose, June 11, 3-9 p.m. or June 12, 9 a.m.- 3p.m.

Second Dose, July 1, 3-9 p.m. or July 2, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Meeting with Local Business Leaders:

On Tuesday, I provided a legislative recap to the Brandon Chamber of Commerce. We discussed the 2021 session including, the numerous policy wins for Eastern Hillsborough County and our small business community. Thank you to the Brandon Chamber of Commerce for the invitation and your advocacy for our community.

The American Jobs Plan:

Later in the week, I visited Port Tampa to learn about the projected impact of passing the American Jobs Plan and its significance to our community. If passed, the plan will create or sustain over 80,000 high-paying, union jobs. Thanks to President Biden and Congressional Democrats, we really can build back better!

Congrats to the Class of 2021:

Lastly, a special congratulations to the class of 2021! High school is hard enough under normal circumstances, but the class of 2021 experienced additional hardships like we've never seen, making their accomplishments even more impressive.

Thank you for taking the time to read my weekly review! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out.
