[1]Women's March

John,

We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but Donald Trump has been busy
assembling his band of far-right, loyalist cronies to help him influence
the 2022 midterm elections.

He's already recruited both Ted Cruz and Newt Gingrich to do his bidding.
First, Trump announced that he’s teaming up with Cruz to try to win back
seats for the GOP in 2022.

Then, Trump announced that he is also working with former GOP-House
speaker Newt Gingrich to craft what he's calling a new "Contract with
America." It's a tactic that Gingrich first employed when he released a
sweeping, anti-woman legislative agenda ahead of the midterm elections in
the middle of President Clinton’s first term in office. It was largely
successful the first time around — and we can't let history repeat itself
in the upcoming midterms.

Despite losing the presidency because of this Women's March team and our
progressive allies, Trump is *clearly* still a major player in the GOP.
He's rallying his base to try to turn back the clock on women's progress
in 2022, and we can't allow the GOP to win back ANY of the House or Senate
seats we fought so hard to win. Democrats currently have the slimmest
House majority in modern history, and midterm elections are historically
difficult for the president's party.

That's where you come in, John.
In order to defend our majorities and fend off GOP attacks on our
elections, we need to get organized earlier than ever before. Women's
March's organizers and volunteers are getting ready to combat the GOP's
attacks — but that won't be possible without the proper funding. So we're
asking:

[ [link removed] ]Donate an urgent $3 or more today to make sure Trump,
Cruz, and Gingrich can't erase our hard-fought progress in the upcoming
2022 midterms.

Trump teaming up with anti-woman politicians like Cruz and Gingrich is a
stark reminder that, despite the fact that Women's Marchers kicked Donald
Trump out of the White House last election, Trump's allies are *still*
doing his bidding. And they're setting their sights on the House AND
Senate majorities that women and allies organized tirelessly to win.

We urgently need to defend the progress we've made,
John. Flipping the White House and Senate
wasn't easy. These wins were the direct result of this team's tireless
work — and making sure that the GOP doesn't roll back our progress, either
at the ballot box or in state legislatures, requires organizing work all
year round. There can be no "off-years" for our movement, so we have to
ask you one more time:

[ [link removed] ]So, will you donate $3 or more to support Women's
March's early organizing efforts to build women's political power and
defend our hard-won progress?

Keep fighting,

Women’s March
