[1]Cori Bush

John,

For years, the FBI has been using their resources to surveil and
investigate people protesting for racial justice against police brutality
— including activists like Cori.

That’s why last week Cori asked the FBI to send her a file of all the
information they’ve collected on her. Then, at a House Judiciary Committee
hearing, Cori directly asked FBI Director Christopher Wray why they had
been surveilling her work as an organizer and activist in Ferguson after
police killed 18-year-old Michael Brown.

Cori knows that the FBI needs to be held accountable for their history of
criminalizing and intimidating protesters for racial justice. They need to
answer for the disparate treatment they’ve applied to people protesting in
defense of Black lives vs. the white supremacists that attacked the
Capitol on January 6th.

That’s why Cori spoke out this week against their efforts suppressing
protests for racial justice.

Cori has co-organized and co-led hundreds of protests alongside the
amazing Ferguson frontline in defense of Black lives and to send a message
that Black lives matter.

She understands firsthand the pain of police violence — what it’s like to
be brutalized on the ground just for saying your life matters — and the
urgent need to keep our community members safe.

That’s why she understood the importance of calling out the FBI Director
for surveilling and violently harassing protestors. It was a big moment
for our movement, but we know that there’s still so much work ahead of us
to dismantle white supremacy and combat systemic racism in our country.

[ [link removed] ]Will you chip in $5 or anything you can to support Cori
as she leads this work in Congress? It’s going to take a widespread,
grassroots effort to make sure our movement continues to make progress in
keeping our communities safe and defending Black lives.

Together,

Team Cori
