Folks,
Exactly which golden era of bipartisanship is Mitch talking about?
The American people watched Mitch vow to make Obama a one-term president -- and then doubledown with a pledge to stop Biden’s agenda in its tracks.
They know that Mitch is almost single-handedly responsible for killing progress on common-sense gun safety reform, healthcare, climate action, voting rights, and more.
So spare us the dramatics, Mitch. If bipartisanship means turning a blind eye to the GOP’s corruption and moral bankruptcy, count us out.
But Mitch and his dark money friends will spend millions to try and take back control of Congress so they can get back to pushing their dangerous agenda. And they’ll be coming for battleground districts like IL-06 first -- will you pitch in $25 or more ahead of my rapidly-approaching FEC fundraising deadline?
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it every day for as long as the GOP continues insisting that up is down. Bipartisanship for the sake of bipartisanship will not move us forward.
Whether it’s Republican resistance to acknowledging climate change or the winner of the 2020 election -- as long as the GOP remains completely hostile to the idea of objective truth, partnering with them to deliver the progress our nation desperately needs will be an impossibility.
If we want good, scientifically-informed policy, we HAVE to protect our Democratic majority in the House. So as a scientist and former clean energy CEO who is committed to moving the ball on bold climate legislation, I’m asking -- will you pitch in whatever you can towards our critical FEC end-of-quarter fundraising goal to help defend IL-06?
The GOP isn’t backing down from politically-motivated lies and propaganda anytime soon.
So let’s make sure those QKnuckleheads don’t get anywhere near the driver’s seat.
Thank you for your support,
Sean Casten
