Hi there — I’m Ana Karen. I’m a college student from California, and I am a part of a mixed-status family.
While I am a DACA recipient and my younger brothers are citizens, my parents are both undocumented. Every day, people like my mom and dad are vulnerable to deportation, expulsion and separation from their loved ones.
That’s why I’m fighting for a pathway to citizenship. And ahead of the 9th anniversary of DACA on June 15th, it’s important we remember that our communities and families like mine need more than temporary solutions.
Chip in to support United We Dream Action’s work advocating for undocumented communities and pressuring Democrats to legislate a pathway to citizenship for our families.

I am fighting for citizenship not just for immigrant youth like myself, but for all essential workers, who, like my mom and dad, have put their lives on the line for others and deserve permanent relief too.
So many farmworkers, like my father, and service workers, like my mother, are the backbone of this country. Yet, they are still unprotected and left out of relief — exposed to cruel and vindictive attacks at any given moment.
DACA was critical for undocumented youth like me, but it has always been a temporary fix.
We need permanent solutions. Will you make a donation to United We Dream Action to help us keep up the fight for undocumented families like mine?
