Justice for Immigrants Colleagues,
President Trump announced plans for the U.S. to admit 18,000 refugees for fiscal year (FY) 2020. This is our country's lowest admissions goal since the Refugee Act went into effect in 1980. Additionally, the President issued an Executive Order that requires state and local "consent" for the refugee resettlement to continue in local communities.
Learn how to advocate to support refugees at the local community in light of the new Executive Order. Voice your support and advocate in your community to ensure it remains a welcoming community!
We are holding a JFI National Call/Webinar for individuals and organizations interested in helping refugees and supporting refugee resettlement in their states and local communities.
