Friend,
Think back to this day last year: the United States led the world in new COVID-19 cases, many offices and schools had gone virtual, borders were closed, and of all the places in the world, the safest place for most people was at home.
But that often wasn’t the case for refugees and internally displaced people who had been forced to flee violence or persecution. Imagine that you were living in an overcrowded camp for refugees when COVID-19 began to spread worldwide. How would you have protected yourself and your family?
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) teams were on the ground helping refugees and others in need long before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and we’re providing care in more than 70 countries around the world.
As we approach World Refugee Day on June 20, we’ll be sharing information about the work we’re doing to care for refugees and other displaced people around the world and stop the spread of COVID-19.
This email was sent from the U.S. section of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), an international independent medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural and man-made disasters, and exclusion from health care.
