Women's Marchers have been busy this week, John!
Together, thousands of us came together to accomplish important priorities for our feminist movement — from telling Biden's DOJ to stop shielding Trump, sharing stories of why we're fighting for reproductive rights, and raising over $6,200 for our Reproductive Justice Fund in honor of Mike Pence's 62nd birthday.
Now, we're coming to you to share what we're up to next — and how you can directly get involved with our women-led movement. There are some important actions for Women's Marchers to take in the upcoming week — so read on to hear how you can stay involved in our fight for a feminist future:
1. Download, print, and fold our latest WM Zine: Don't @Me! Powerzine.
Download. Print. Fold. Cut. Distribute. Repeat. That's what we at Women's March are doing with our latest edition of our feminist zine. Take a look:
This issue is about taxing the rich and helping readers understand why billionaires shouldn't exist, all while highlighting a policy solution to help fix the problem: Elizabeth Warren's Ultra-Millionaire Tax. Download, print, and fold your own right now!
2. Join us this week for Take Action Tuesdays.
American democracy urgently needs repair. We have a historic opportunity to bring about transformative change with the For The People Act. The For the People Act would transform our democracy by making it fairer, stronger, and more inclusive — but we must act now. That's why we're calling on the U.S. Senate to pass the For The People Act by writing online letters to the editors of local, state, and regional publications.
We'll gather virtually to share letter writing tips and take some time to draft our letters together! Join us this Tuesday, June 15 at 7:00 p.m. ET, OR this Wednesday, June 16 at 7:00 p.m. PT.
3. Sign up to send texts with Women's March and United Vision Project.
Women's March is partnering with the United Vision Project on a bold, innovative program that reaches out directly to the people who hold "conservative" beliefs, and may be sympathetic to extreme white supremacy and nationalist movements. Because we can't change what we don't understand, we'll have deep conversations about how they think and feel, and we'll try to understand their points of view.
The conversations may be difficult, but this is the first step towards creating genuine change. Sign up to send texts as part of our new partnership with United Vision Project with the goal of understanding and dismantling white supremacy.
4. Join our new Circle Leaders orientation!
Are you new to our Circles Program? We’re so glad you're here! Join us for an orientation for new Circle Leaders to learn what it means to lead a Women2Women circle.
We'll discuss our principles, ask and answer questions, and share helpful tips and tools to grow your local circle. Click here to RSVP to our Circle Leaders orientation happening this Wednesday, June 16 at 8:00 p.m. ET!
