Did you see Pramila's email? She said what she said: Republicans have proven time and time again that they have no interest in doing anything that the people desperately need or want, so why are we still trying to negotiate with them on our priorities? It's time to go big, bold, fast, and ALONE. It's time to deliver for the people.

In a few moments, I am going to ask you to make a contribution toward our fight in Congress to go bigger, bolder, and faster so Democrats deliver for the people that delivered us the House, the Senate, and the White House. But first, I wanted to explain why this work is so important.
On Tuesday, infrastructure talks between President Biden and a group of Republicans led by West Virginia Senator Shelley Moore Capito collapsed. I wish I could say I was surprised, but I'm not.
Earlier this spring, zero Republican senators voted for the American Rescue Plan — not even one. Five weeks ago, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell stated that 100% of his focus was stopping the Biden administration. Three weeks ago, the GOP delivered their first counteroffer on President Biden's sweeping and necessary infrastructure plan — it was an embarrassing counter, just 10% of the President's total proposal.
And as I told Rachel Maddow earlier this week, it is once again very clear that Republicans do not want to come along. That is why I'm concerned that we're now negotiating with a different group of Republican senators — hoping to magically get a deal that meets the scale of the crises we face. Look: we can wait another week, we can negotiate with another Republican senator or two — but the results won't be any different. Republicans have no interest in doing anything that the people desperately need or want. Their only interest is obstructing our progress.
President Biden's American Jobs Plan and American Families Plan — in addition to the critically necessary For the People Act — are overwhelmingly popular among voters across party lines, just like the American Rescue Plan was. The voters who turned out in massive numbers in the general election and Georgia runoff elections don't agree with Senator Joe Manchin on keeping the filibuster in place, or weakening our proposals in order to get the support of a senator from a Republican party that wants to stop us at every turn. They just want us to go big, go bold, and go fast on the change we promised them. They want results — and we must deliver them. Full stop.
No more negotiating. No more delays. Let's get this critical work done — together.
In solidarity,
Pramila
