Hello --
I've always been able to count on supporters like you to step up at our biggest moments -- it means a lot to me.
This past week, you all did exactly that when you helped us respond to a $10 million smear campaign from the National Republicans with a positive TV ad of our own.
It's not normal for outside groups to be spending so much money on false, negative ads this early in an election cycle, so I really appreciate you all stepping up to answer the call.
What this all means is the special interests are afraid of the progress we've made in New York's 19th District. They see the 26 town halls we've done. They've read
The Nation article about how supporters of President Trump can come to ask a question, disagree with my answer, and leave feeling they've been treated with decency, dignity, and respect.
The National Republicans don't want our campaign to prove that politics doesn't always have to be so ugly and so divisive. But I remain steadfast in my commitment to civil discourse and determined in every instance to find common ground.
So, they're likely going to spend more money in this race, and that means they're going to step up their nasty attacks in the coming months. But I know we'll be standing strong thanks to the support of people like you who are helping me win this election the right way.
I can't thank you enough for being with me, staying with me, and fighting for what we believe in.
