Africa & Europe
Pray for Uganda as the country has entered a 40-day lockdown to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. Pray that as children are being sent home from school, there would not be an increase in illness and medical facilities would not be overloaded.
Latin America
Please pray for a successful upcoming training for church leaders and members in Bolivia. Through this training, our team will equip church leaders and members to recognize the signs of sexual violence and serve as points of contact with IJM and our trained partners. Pray that as victims find the courage to break the silence and ask for help, this new cohort of churches can boldly step into action to help protect and restore them.
South Asia
Pray for IJM’s partners who are on the front lines providing COVID-19 relief to survivors and vulnerable communities. There are still strict lockdowns in place due to the pandemic surge, but in some places, these teams are able to provide food and other care to families in need. Pray for their safety and that God would guide their steps to the most needy families. Pray as well that the situation would continue to stabilize so IJM and our partners can safely support even more people in these rural areas.
Southeast Asia
Please continue to pray for wisdom for the IJM Philippines team as they work to measure the online sexual exploitation of children through the Scale of Harm Project. The Internal Advisory Council members are conducting interviews this week, so please pray that they would be able to hire the right candidate in a timely manner.

Today, June 12, is World Day Against Child Labour, and children are more vulnerable to trafficking than ever before as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Please pray that God will reverse the increase in child labor around the world and provide the means to bring protection, rescue and restoration to every child trapped in modern-day slavery.
