Dear John,
We’re in the final stretch of the 2021 legislative session, and with fewer than two weeks to go, we're on the brink of passing significant policies that will protect the treasured people and wild places of Maine.
But there's one hitch: Corporate lobbyists from Maine’s polluting industries are working hard — and spending big — to defeat our priority bills in these final days. If they're successful, they could sink our plans to ban toxic chemicals, reduce pollution, promote clean energy, and address the climate crisis.
That's why we need your help today. A contribution in these closing days will go directly towards our fight at the State House to advocate on your behalf and pass these critical bills that you and other MCV members have been fighting for all year long.
Passing bills that are opposed by corporate lobbyists is a fight. In this last push before the legislature adjourns, we need the resources to keep up our advocacy and grassroots campaigns to make sure lawmakers hear loud and clear just how important making climate and environmental progress is to regular Maine people — not polluters.
I have seen it happen time and time again. Because of you — and people just like you — our team has won incredible victories this year for our environment and the people and wildlife that call this state home. We can't let up now — not when we're this close.
Some of our top priority bills would phase-out toxic chemicals, fund land conservation, improve recycling, and directly result in a safer and cleaner environment for generations to come.
Pushing these bills past the finish line takes resources, and with your help today, we can be a voice for Maine’s environment and oppose the industries that pollute our environment.
Your support today will help us fight the good fight for our beloved state of Maine. Thank you! - Beth P.S. We have had big wins for voter rights, equity, and the environment this legislative session. This is thanks to amazing conservation voters - just like you! Please support this work at this time that it is needed most and protect the Maine that we love now -- and for the future! CONNECT WITH US: unsubscribe |
