We had a feeling Donald Trump was using the Department of Justice (DOJ) to launch politically motivated attacks, but now we know.

Last night, the New York Times confirmed the Trump administration pushed the Justice Department to secretly subpoena Apple for data on myself and several of my colleagues. Trump weaponized the DOJ for his own political gain.

This wasn't the GOP's first attack against me, John, and you can bet it won’t be the last.

Even though this probe was a failure, GOP officials who were complicit in Trump’s abuse of power still seek power. And so long as we continue to expose their hypocrisy and lies, they will continue to see all of us as a threat.
