If you want to know what kind of person a leader is, take a look at how they confront adversity. At the beginning of March 2020, I remember holding my breath as Governor Phil Murphy was undergoing surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from his kidney. I texted him after the operation praying that the procedure went smoothly. Just days later, while still recovering from the surgery, Governor Murphy had to confront the reality that New Jersey was the epicenter of the world for coronavirus infections. In that handful of days, Phil was tested like few have been. I saw Phil Murphy put the people of New Jersey before himself. I'll never forget that.
We've come a long way since the depths of the crisis last March, but even as our state begins reopening in earnest, Phil and I both know our work is far from over. We have a long road to recovery and need to keep his strong leadership in Trenton for another term.
Every time I've asked you to step up, you've delivered. Today, I'm asking you to help me deliver the support that our New Jersey Democratic Party needs to elect Democrats like Phil up and down the ballot -- this year, next year, and through everything we still need to accomplish together to ensure every New Jersey family can thrive.
So, please give whatever you can to show New Jersey Democrats like Phil up and down the ballot that we've got their back!
