As soon as Monday evening, President Biden’s nominee to the vital D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals – a seat often seen as a steppingstone to the Supreme Court – Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson will have her final floor vote in the Senate.
All those who recognize Judge Jackson’s sterling qualifications need to join us in taking action to turn up the heat on our support to make sure the Senate confirms her this week. Her fight continues to be our fight.
The significance of President Biden nominating Judge Jackson to the D.C. Circuit cannot be overstated. Her brilliance, her commitment to justice, and her years of experience both on and off the bench make her extremely well qualified to serve on this key federal court. Specifically, Judge Jackson brings to the bench the critically important experience of having served as an assistant federal public defender, representing people who were accused of crimes but who couldn’t afford a lawyer.
With the Far Right’s continued attacks on President Biden’s nominees, we cannot take any vote for granted in the Senate. Tell your senators to CONFIRM this highly qualified judicial nominee.
If Judge Jackson is confirmed this week, we will be one step closer to the professionally and personally diverse federal judiciary that we are fighting to achieve.
