Health insurance providers and pharmaceutical companies spend upward of $600 million a year on lobbying. Now it’s 2021, and we’re still one of the only wealthy nations in the world that does not provide universal health care to its citizens.
Health care is a human right, and we cannot accept living in this broken system. Ro is one of one of the few members of Congress who has been fighting for Medicare for All since he was elected in 2017. And he’s going to continue this fight until Medicare for All becomes a reality.
Don’t forget that these companies could have spent those hundreds of millions on health care. Instead, they spent it to protect the profits of wealthy CEOs and shareholders.
