[ [link removed] ]YES, I WILL POWER THE MOVEMENT FOR JUSTICE!
John,
Today, more people than ever are contemplating what it means to reimagine
public safety. Since the racial uprisings last year, millions of people,
and corporations joined the movement for social justice. To prove their
commitment, companies pledged billions of dollars to the struggle for
racial equity— but according to a review of pledges, corporations have
donated less than 1% of the money promised.1
That’s why Color of Change is committed to grassroots fundraising. In the
last year, we've turned down a massive amount of corporate donations. We
exist to hold those in power accountable, and our independence is fueled
by the collective support of our members.

We believe that Black people deserve to live in a world where we have
everything we need: clean water, food, housing, education, health
protection, and community care. We’re fighting like hell to make this
vision a reality. Here’s a snapshot of the dual crisis we’re fighting to
solve:
* Gun violence is a public health crisis, and we know the cure isn’t
criminalization. That’s why we’re committed to fighting for federal
and locally funded gun violence prevention programs in the communities
most impacted by this crisis.
* Policing is a public health crisis, and police budgets are looting our
communities. That’s why we’re committed to holding elected officials,
police unions, and corporations accountable by eliminating private
funding from police budgets.
John, [ [link removed] ]can we count on you to support our pivotal racial
justice campaigns as we fight for a world without police terror?

For some people, a world without police may sound daunting, but here’s a
friendly reminder: there was a time before police, and we believe there
will be a time after. A better world is possible.
[ [link removed] ]let's fight for it.
