ProPublica just reported that a super PAC affiliated with the International Union of Police Associations has spent $63,750 to send text messages attacking Ayanna and attempting to discredit our movement for justice and healing.
It’s clear that people who prefer the status quo are terrified of Ayanna’s bold, activist leadership in Congress and the movement we’re building.
We’re setting a rapid-response goal to raise $10,000 by Tuesday to fight back against this attack. If just 10% of people reading this email contribute whatever they can, then we’ll reach our goal in no time.
Ayanna will always speak out about injustice, and work intentionally to codify healing.
We need decisive action to combat the public health crisis that is police brutality. We can and must advance bold, systemic policy change at all levels of government to fundamentally reimagine our system of policing and criminal (in)justice.
