MORE 2022 ENDORSEMENTS!

This week we issued two more 2022 endorsements! We’re standing with Brian Sims as he runs to be Pennsylvania’s first out Lt. Governor and one of the only out lieutenant governors ever elected in the United States.

We also endorsed Matthew Wilson, who’s running for Georgia Insurance Commissioner! He’ll be the first out person elected statewide in Georgia when he wins. Watch Matthew’s full announcement video here to learn all about his race and vision for the role!

 

PRIDE VICTORIES

LGBTQ history in Texas: Jalen McKee-Rodriguez WON his runoff for the San Antonio City Council! Jalen shattered a rainbow ceiling, becoming the first out Black man elected in Texas history. Read his touching note to supporters here.

Our candidate for the New Jersey state Senate, Vincent Solomeno, advanced in his primary! He’ll be fighting to flip this Senate seat AND make history as the first out state senator in New Jersey.

Incumbent candidate Dawn Adams won her primary and thanked volunteers and voters in this tweet. She’ll face attorney Mark Earley Jr. in the general, who is currently under investigation for discrepancies on his campaign forms.

Kirk McPike won his primary for the Alexandria City Council, and he’s already fighting to win the general!

 

PRIDE NEWS TO WATCH

It’s almost Election Day in New York! U.S. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is standing with a huge list of LGBTQ candidates, including Wilfredo Florentino, Chi Ossé, Kristin Richardson Jordan, Crystal Hudson, Marti Cummings, Jeffrey Omura, Tiffany Cabán, and Amit Bagga!

It’s official: Spotlight candidate Darden Rice is on the ballot in her race for Mayor of St. Petersburg, FL. Congratulations, Darden!

 

REMEMBERING PULSE

The U.S. Congress passed legislation honoring the 49 lives lost in the Pulse nightclub attack five years ago. The nightclub will now be recognized as a national memorial.
