Friend,

We have the majorities in Congress right now -- and the support of the American people -- to pass significant legislation that will protect voting rights, expand healthcare access, uphold LGBTQ+ equality, reduce gun violence, reform policing, ensure equal pay for equal work, preserve our environment, and so much more.

But right now, just 41 senators have the power to block most bills from ever getting a vote. Senate Republicans have repeatedly filibustered popular and necessary legislation -- most recently a bill that would have established a bipartisan commission to investigate the Capitol insurrection. When even that can be blocked by an arcane Senate rule, it's clear that something needs to change.

There are times for compromise. There are times when "gridlock" forges reasonable solutions. But we are not in those times today.

Our democracy is under unprecedented assault, with one party proudly supportive of restricting the right to vote -- and even overturning elections. The American people have experienced health, environmental, and economic crises in recent years that demand bold answers -- and whether those answers get 51 or 100 votes in the Senate, we must act.

I choose to put our future and stability first. So I'm adding my voice to the growing calls across the country to abolish the filibuster.

Please, join me and help us get 10,000 signatures in support of ending the filibuster. Together, we must demonstrate that the demands for action will not stop.

I know we face hard obstacles. I know recent headlines about legislative priorities running into barriers are disheartening. But more Senators than at any time in history are already on board with ending the filibuster.

We have no choice but to keep the public pressure on. Every new voice -- whether they be a senator, House member, or a citizen concerned about their country -- makes a difference.
