New York Times: Stop Union Busting!

Hi John,

Tell The New York Times to stop breaking federal labor law, stop union-busting and recognize the Times Tech Guild.

In April, a strong majority of nearly 700 tech workers at The New York Times announced their union drive and requested voluntary recognition—a process the Times editorial board endorses.

Management did not recognize their union. In fact, it started an anti-union campaign with mandatory meetings and other classic union-busting tactics.

The Times Tech Guild would be the largest union of tech workers to bargain for a contract in the United States. We must end the myth that tech workers are somehow different from other workers by enforcing our rights: for our union and the future tech workers who will follow us.

Tell The New York Times to practice its own stated values: stop union-busting, recognize the Times Tech Guild and meet the tech workers at the bargaining table.

In Solidarity,

Team AFL-CIO
